2. These terms

By using this website, creating an account, placing an order or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms and to our Return policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order or accept a quote applies to that order. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy from us. Users under 18 may not register or make transactions on this website.

Give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date.

Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud or abuse, or in breach of these terms.

4. School and organisation accounts

The person who registers an organisation account confirms that they are authorised to act and place orders for that organisation.

We verify organisation accounts before bulk limits apply. We may ask for a trade licence or other documents.

Verified organisations can order up to 999 units of an item per order. Other accounts can order up to 99.

We may decline or withdraw verification, for example if the details cannot be confirmed.

The organisation is responsible for orders placed through its account.

5. Products and information

We describe products as accurately as we can. Pictures are for illustration. Colours, packaging and covers can differ from the images.

Publishers sometimes release a new edition or cover. If the edition you ordered is no longer available, we contact you before sending a different one.

Follow the age and safety guidance on each product. Products for young children may contain small parts and need adult supervision.

If we find an error in a price or description, we tell you before we process your order. You can then confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it.

6. Two ways to buy

  • Buy online.Products that show a price and an “Add to cart” button can be paid for by card at checkout. See section 7.
  • Request a quote.Products marked “Add to Enquiry” are sold on quotation. Add them to your enquiry and send it, and we reply with a written quote. See section 8.

7. Online orders, prices and payment

Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED) and exclude VAT.

VAT at 5% is added at checkout for deliveries in the UAE. It is charged on the goods and on the delivery charge.

Orders delivered outside the UAE are charged without UAE VAT. Import duties and taxes in the destination country are paid by the customer.

We accept Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, and any other payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are taken in AED.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.

Your order is confirmed when payment succeeds and we send you an order confirmation by email.

If an item turns out to be unavailable after you pay, we tell you and refund that item in full to your original payment method.

We may cancel an order we suspect is fraudulent, and refund any payment taken.

Keep a copy of your order confirmation and transaction records.

Multiple transactions may show as separate entries on your card statement.

8. Quotes and enquiries

An enquiry is a request for a quote. It is not an order. No payment is taken and no stock is reserved.

Our written quote states the products, quantities, prices, VAT, delivery charge, expected lead time and payment terms.

A quote is valid for 14 days unless it states a different period. After that, prices and availability may change.

An order is formed when you accept the quote in writing, by email, signed quote or purchase order, and we confirm it.

Terms written in a quote apply to that order. Where they differ from these terms, the quote takes priority.

Terms printed on a customer purchase order do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

Payment is due as stated in the quote. We may offer credit terms to approved organisations.

9. Delivery

We deliver within the UAE, to the other GCC countries and to the other countries offered at checkout.

Delivery toCharge (online orders)
United Arab EmiratesAED 25.00
Other GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait)AED 50.00
Other countriesAED 150.00

Delivery is free when the goods total is AED 500.00 or more before VAT. Quoted orders carry the delivery charge stated in the quote.

In-stock items are dispatched within 2 working days of payment. Delivery in the UAE usually takes 1 to 3 working days after dispatch. Delivery to other countries usually takes 5 to 10 working days.

Items marked “Available to order” are ordered from our supplier for you. The product page or quote shows the expected lead time.

Delivery times are estimates. We tell you if we expect a delay.

Please check your delivery when it arrives. Tell us about damaged, missing or wrong items within 3 days, as set out in our Return policy.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes to you when we receive payment in full.

If a delivery fails because nobody is available or the address is wrong, we may charge for another attempt.

10. Cancelling an order

You can cancel an online order at no cost until it is dispatched. Contact us with your order number and we refund you in full.

After dispatch, our Return policy applies.

A confirmed quoted order can be cancelled only as the quote allows. Items ordered from a supplier for you may carry a cancellation charge, which the quote states before you accept it.

11. Returns and refunds

Returns, exchanges and refunds follow our Return policy. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method only.

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence.

We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost profit or lost opportunity.

For any order, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, liability for fraud, and your rights under UAE consumer protection law.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Examples are severe weather, strikes, supplier or carrier failure and government action.

If an event like this affects your order, we tell you. If the delay is long, you can cancel and receive a refund for anything not delivered.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can put it right.

If we cannot resolve a dispute, the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
